Cairns tour Day-4

Be relaxing in the Cairns CityCan you see me?I'm sitting on the bench and relaxing with nice sunshine. Here is situated in the central of shopping street and there were some shops to sell accessories with cheap prices! My sister and I bought some necklace made from seashells.
We enjoyed having stake lunch here, which name is '' hogs breath cafe''.I'll tell you, just in case, I didn't have such big stakes by myself and we shared this with all. It's 400g and impossible to finish it by one person!
I didn't know that there are no beaches in Cains until I visit here this time.If you drive away to suburb, you'll be able to see them though. Therefore there is a lagoon pool besides ocean and it's available to use for anyone for free. There were many people and seemed to be relaxing for everyone.Yes, it is nice!

Cairns tour Day-3

March 16th
It's day for visiting the Green Is. and the Great Barier Reef!Luckily it was getting sunny since morning and we were relieved though, we never knew what's will happen after this.
We got on board this big boat its just back of me to get to the island, then we all had a horrible seasickness and felt we were dying seriously! There was a bit rough wave and it effected our boat badly. We could get to the Green Island safely, but it was too hard to walking around when we arrived because of that seasickness. We took long rest there untill we'll be fine.(I was almost give up to have a l
ook this Is.)
Here is a pier and I like this picturesque scenery with clear blue and peaceful atmosphere.I was lucky to be able to take this photo without people!

This is a whole view of the Green Island from our boat. It's small island, but it's nice to take a walk and be relaxed for few hours. There are full with green and nature such as birds, flowers and fish!I didn't try to do snorkeling though, it must be nice!
After staying the island, we traveled to a pontoon which is floating artificial island includes cafeteria and diving station. We joined to try ''scuba doo'' which is a kind of bike under the water and we can see many fish and coral with comfy breathing.(the right photo below)We don't need a diving license to do this, so it was wonderful experience especilally for mum. We saw NIMO(crown fish) !

Cairns tour Day-2

March 15th

On this day, we were about to get the Kulanda scenic railways, which is able to see the world heritage rainforest from the train car, but it was unfortunatelly cancelled because of too much rain.We were very excited to get it and then were depressed by that so much.I saw many Japanese tourist in the station and the guide said almost 100 guests of her company missed the chance to get the train. What a shame!

We got the skyrail instead and headed to the village to the top of the mountain. This skyrail was quite good and it's enjoyable to see the view from the sky and the Barron falls was so much impressive for me the most.I could not take that photoes as it was raining haevily, but the powerful view was beautifully printed into my brain and mind!If I could see it from the lookout beside of there, it must have been breathtaking!

I could see some funny looking plants during walking the park like these.I think they are specific in the rainforest! It's rainny season and those green were very beautiful. The mother of life, rainforest have a lot of creatures. We saw many soft toys and some cute stuff in the souvenir shops.I liked these frogs below and was about to buy one. However it was a bit bulky, as I had a plan to fly to Sydney after Cairns, I gave up to get then just took some photoes together....

They are so CUTE!
I've never seen like these in Japan.I should have got one....

Now I'm regreting that I come home without it.

The Night Life
Seafood is the must dishes here and we ordered the seafood platter with a glass of red sparkling wine.I love prawn and oreded avocado and prawn salad the right photo above. This avocado was actually mushed and crushed nuts mixed in.It was nice and I want to cook like this at home, too.
After we had dinner, we poped in the casino where is situated in front of hotel we stayed. It was the first time to visit for my family and especially mum was so excited to see.I gave $10 each and free time to play for them separately. She possitively tried to play those slot machines by herself.I don't know how to do that much, so we just did it with only guessing and observing other people's way.We didn't win but didn't lost a lot.It was enjoyable and exciting time.

Cairns tour Day-1

March 14th

These photoes were taken whene we were in Narita Airport and about to get on board. As my cousin's daughter Sumire requested to take this soft toy, which name is Lisa, instead of herself.
On this depature day, my aunt became sick and went to see a docter. She's got rash on her body and got on board with 39degree fever! We worried about that the Cairns airport might have had a thermo sensor in the immigration though, fortunately it didn't have it and we could be entried there safely!

As I already expected to that we'll be in Cairns quite early in the morning, so booked a room, which is available to use from that morning in advance. It worked very well. We let my aunt went to bed for a while and had a walk near the hotel.First of all, we headed to one market to get nice mangoes for her and ofcourse us, too.We love them so much and I really wanted to show mum the fruit and vege market in Australia. We could get some mangoes with a good deal and that sales lady was so friendly. It made us happy as well.

There is a night market in Cairns. It's opened between 4pm and 11pm!The guide explained that many tourists are going to rainforests and the G.B.R during a day and they are not coming back to the city untill around 5pm, so many shops usually open their shops at night to get many costomers. It's actually very useful for us, as we can enjoy both activities.Mum and auntie bought some souvenir and we walked around that market very much.

HOTEL REPORT ''Cairns International Hotel''

This time we stayed at this hotel as my mum requested.(She prefers better place to stay...)It's really comfortable hotel and convenience to anywhere.I liked room funitures especially those color combination of bed linen. The hotel lobby is also nice with big windows like above photoes.Much light come into the hall and it looks gorgeous! It's sometimes very nice to stay in this kind of hotels.
