Magellan's Cross and the fort San Pedro
In the third day in Cebu, I saw my friend Hyun, Korean boy and we've known each other since Sydney, we had great time for sight seeing around Cebu city. He took his friend who sometimes works as tour guide a part-time job and also took care of us very nicely. They took us some old buildings as left photoes and it was impressing! This is called as the Magellan's Cross and was built over 400 years ago. There were many prayers and I felt how much they are religious.
Just a day ago this day, when I went to a supermarket, suddenly one taped talking started and people stopped doing anything. At firsts, didn't undertstand at all, but I did when noticedthat was reading maybe the Byble. It never happen in Japan!
The boy who are wearing black shirts is my old friend Hyun and another boy is Wang-Ye. Both of them are students of the Cebu doctors University.
This fortress was started to build on 1565 and completed an 1738. I knew that Japanese army used here as a kind of jail when they invaded in one guide book. This place has sad history, but now has been maintained and use as a beautiful park for young generations.
